KAO     Newsletter

1)   KAO HEADQUARTER DEVASTED BY HURRICANE WILMA

We have been extremely hard hit by the damage of hurricane Wilma.
   We are currently working out of temporary offices and hope to be back in full swing in about 4 months.

All KAO files and the  KAO  video and image library have survived unharmed. Please understand that we are operating with  very limited resources
 at the moment , so e-mail replies, etc might take extra time.

  2)  EXHIBITION OF KINETIC ART AT THE FAMED GROUNDS FOR SCULPTURE (GfS) IN NEW JERSEY!

We are truly pleased to announce the first KAO Grounds for Sculpture
 (GfS) Kinetic Art Exhibion 2006. 
This 35 acre sculpture park and museum has been established in 1992 and has become the premier venue for worldclass sculptural art. We are THRILLED to be able to showcase our KAO members art at this prestigious Exhibition: 

From:  May 13th 2006 to September 24th 2006

Together with the Curator of GfS we are currently in the pre-selection process of the KAO Kinetic Artists that will be part of this exhibition.

SHOW YOUR KINETIC SCULPTURE at GfS!
 As part of the indoor exhibition we plan to showcase several KAO Kinetic Art movies.
We do want to invite all KAO members to submit Video(s) or Photo(s) of your Kinetic Sculpture to KAO for inclusion in these new KAO Virtual Exhibits #2 and #3.

Deadline: Complete submissions will be accepted until 5PM EST,   January 31st, 2006.

3)  Kinetic Art Webring is dissolved.

For your information - at the request of Kineticus and Kugelbahn, the 3 year old Kinetic Art Alliance ,  known as the “Kinetic Art Webring” has been dissolved. We wish our fellow Kinetic Webmasters all the best.

4 )  KAO is looking for a Kinetic Artist to feature in our December Newsletter.

If yu are interested to be featured, please e-mail up to 3 images in jpeg (total less then 1MB please!) and a brief summary of your career as a kinetic artist to
webmaster@kinetic-art.org    latest by Friday, December 16.

Please be sure to check out and correct your personal information by logging in on the lower left of the home page with your username and password, which all currently registered KAO members with a valid e-mail address have received via e-mail.

The same username and password can also be used to access our new KAO Message Board . Just click on the message board link from the home page and then login.
