WHY A INTERNATIONAL KAO BOARD:
Now that we have KAO members
in over 60 countries around the world, we want to REALLY begin to
promote
Kinetic Art and our KAO Artists internationally! Each KAO Country Director
will assist
with the coordination of Country KAO meetings, exhibitions,
press releases, etc. The KAO Country Director is also the
country contact person for inquiries from other international
Kinetic Artists, galleries, museums, auction houses, art exhibitions
and the press.

ABOUT
KAO
Kinetic Art is always the forgotten orphan
in today’s cultural environment. It is high time to expose this wonderful
facette of sculptural art to more people in more places.
By uniting kinetic sculptors around the
world with those interested in their art via the Internet, we hope to
raise the awareness and interest in our enjoyable art form.
We at KINETIC-ART.ORG plan to contribute
to this goal by sponsoring and organizing exhibits, competitions, local
and regional Get-Together and the creation of Kinetic Sculpture Parks
in the USA and in Europe.
The Kinetic Art Organization (KAO) was founded as a not for profit organization.
The objective of KAO and our website WWW.KINETIC-ART.ORG is to provide
a place for Kinetic Artists from around the world where they can interact
with those that are interested in kinetic art and sculptures.
Our KAO database is now the
largest compendium of Kinetic Art and sculptures information, photos
and videos in the world.
With
KAO members in over 60 Countries
we are also the largest Kinetic Art and Sculpture Organization in the
world. We gladly offer our knowledge, resources and research to international
art collectors, galleries, museums, auction houses, art exhibitions,
the press and architectural firms.
We have helped to organize international kinetic sculpture exhibitions
in the
2003 Art in Motion Biennale
in Leeuwerden,
Holland
, in the 2003
Florence, Italy Biennale,
the
International Wind Festival,
New Mexico
and are working with the Cultural Committee for the
Greek Olympics 2004
among other engagements.
We are now preparing a KAO
Virtual Exhibition of international Kinetic
Sculptures - a DVD that can be simply put in any computer and shown on
large screens or projected on the wall. We will provide copies free of
charge to international galleries, museums, auction houses and art
exhibitions .
